Google SERP preview
Enter a title, description and URL. You get a search result preview plus the text width in pixels, because width, not character count, decides where Google cuts the text.

Page title | Brand
A page description that answers the searcher's question and gives a reason to click.
Your data never leaves your browser. Nothing is sent to a server.
How to use it
- Enter your page title and meta description.
- Add the URL to see the breadcrumb path the way Google shows it.
- Switch between desktop and mobile and check the text does not end in an ellipsis.
- Shorten or rewrite until the width meters are within range.
Why pixels matter more than characters
Google truncates titles and descriptions by pixel width. A capital W takes far more room than a lowercase i, so two texts with the same character count may or may not fit. This tool measures width in Arial, which is close to the typeface Google uses in results.
What the limits are
We use roughly 600 pixels for the title and roughly 920 pixels for the description on desktop. These are approximations: Google changes how results look and sometimes rewrites titles and descriptions itself. Treat the preview as a very good guide, not a guarantee.
Writing titles people click
Put the main phrase first, add a concrete benefit and keep the brand at the end. The description should answer the searcher's question and end with a reason to click. Do not reuse the same title across many pages.
