Meta tag and Open Graph generator

Fill in the fields and the tool assembles HTML for your head section: title, description, canonical, Open Graph and Twitter Card. Copy it in one click.

Full URL, ideally 1200 × 630 px.

Your data never leaves your browser. Nothing is sent to a server.

How to use it

  1. Enter a title and description. The character counters tell you if they are in the recommended range.
  2. Add the canonical URL and the share image address.
  3. Fill in the site name, locale and your X handle if you have one.
  4. Copy the result and paste it into your page head.

What each tag does

Title and description describe the page in search results. Canonical points to the version of the URL Google should index. Open Graph and Twitter Card tags control how a link looks when pasted into social networks and messengers.

The share image

Use a full absolute URL, ideally in about a 1.91:1 ratio such as 1200 by 630 pixels. Without an og:image tag platforms choose an image themselves, often badly.

What is left out

We do not output a meta keywords tag, because search engines have ignored it for years. If you use Next.js, WordPress or another CMS you normally set tags through its API, and this tool is for quickly checking and copying a finished structure.
